Mt. Pleasant prom, after prom activities
|May 04, 2013|
|4:30 PM - 3:00 AM|
The Mt. Pleasant Community High School promenade will begin at 4:30 p.m. All students wishing to be announced in the promenade must register and be in line no later than 5 p.m. or they will not be presented. Students will enter through the main doors of the high school and proceed into the commons.
Spectators will be allowed in the front door starting at 3:30 p.m. They may then proceed into the gymnasium and sit on the west bleachers. Prom coordinators ask that spectators remain in the bleachers and do not stand on the floor. The first spectators to arrive are asked to park in the south lot (student lot) in the far west row. When those spots fill, the north (teacher) parking lot will be opened. Please do not park any vehicles in front of the school. Those spots are reserved for community members with handicapped permits.
Prom pictures will be taken by Broeker Photography in the high school music room from 2 to 5 p.m.
The MPCHS Prom dance will begin at 9 p.m. and will end at 12 a.m. After the dance, Mt. Pleasant Community High School juniors and seniors, with their dates, will return to the high school starting at 12:30 a.m. for after-prom. Students who attend will be eligible for prizes and money donated by local merchants, businesses and industries.
Thanks to a donation from the Henry County Substance Abuse Coalition, Comedy Hypnosis All Stars will entertain the students with a hypnotist. Their program is designed for student audiences with an emphasis on fun.
Food will also be served.
After-prom activities, sponsored by the senior parents, will end at 3 a.m.
