New London man faces domestic abuse charge
NEW LONDON — An alleged domestic abuse incident June 9 in New London left one person injured and another arrested.
According to the New London Police Department, they were alerted by a 911 call to the 200 block of South Ash Street at 1:51 a.m. June 9.
Upon investigation, Nicole Lena Lehan Davis, 28, New London, was transported by person vehicle to the Henry County Health Center where she was treated and released.
The alleged offender, Ryan Lloyd Peiffer, 28, New London, was located walking in New London at about 6 a.m. and taken into custody.
The offender, allegedly, was armed with a handgun during the incident. When taken into custody, he told the officers where he had left the handgun and it was recovered by police.
Peiffer was charged with domestic abuse (aggravated misdemeanor). Other charges are pending.
Assisting the New London Police Department in the incident were the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Mt. Pleasant Police Department and the Winfield Police Department.
