Patricia L. "Patty" Bruegge
Patricia L. “Patty” Bruegge, 57, Birmingham, died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., on Sunday, April 13, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Burlington, with the Rev. Joe Arellano officiating. A memorial has been established to the American Lung Association. On-line condolences may be directed to www.olsonpowell.com.
The daughter of Darrell and Mary Huston Luce, she was born Aug. 23, 1956, in Lewiston, Maine. She attended a private Adventist school in Norridgewock, Maine. She moved from Maine to Florida, then to Colorado, and in 1994 moved to Iowa. In 1973, she married Louie Daigle in Anson, Maine. The couple later divorced. She married Jon Rowley while living in Colorado. They later divorced. In July of 2010, she married Garry Bruegge.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Burlington. She enjoyed taking care of her many pets. She also enjoyed playing cards, shopping in thrift stores and going to yard sales. She especially loved to be around water where she would fish, boat, and swim. While living in Florida, she sold jewelry on the beach.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Louie Daigle II of Burlington; a daughter, Mary Daigle of Burlington; two sisters, Holly Luce of Montana and Rhonda Luce of Kentucky; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Eric Luce; and a sister, Rosalie Wolcott.
