Pleasant Manor Care Center forms new nursing management team
Pleasant Manor Care Center is pleased to announce the completion of forming its new Nursing Management Team, as well as an upcoming open house.
Shannon Schneider, BSN, is now serving as the new Director of Nursing. Schneider grew up in a small town east of Cedar Rapids. She moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1989 to attend Iowa Wesleyan College. Her nursing career started at Pleasant Manor as a C.N.A. while she was attending college. In 1993, Schneider graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her career then took her to Henry County Health Center for five years. After which time she served at Ft. Madison Community Hospital for 19 years.
Schneider and her husband live in Donnellson.
“I am very excited to step into the Director of Nursing position. I bring with me years of knowledge that I know can make a difference in every Resident’s and Staff person’s day to day activities. I will be working with an excellent management team and we are looking forward to all the new changes coming with improving resident’s individualized care and the excitement of moving into our new building.”
Jacqueline Lydolph, BSN, will serve as Assistant Director of Nursing, and as Infection Preventionist, along with her current role of overseeing the Restorative Nursing department. Renita Scott, RN, is also now serving as MDS/Care Plan Coordinator. She will also continue her duties as a Care, Plan and Assessment Coordinator.
On Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m., Pleasant Manor Care Center will be hosting an open house. The event is open to the public.
