An accident Sunday afternoon on the east side of Mt. Pleasant not only caused damage to a vehicle but also a utility pole. The accident occurred at the intersection of South Haynes Street and East Monroe Street when a car sheared off a portion of a utility pole. The damaged pole is shown in the photo.
