Rossiter awarded at Arizona car show
Henry County local Leon Rossiter and his 1956 Dodge D500-1 Custom Royal Lancer won Best Domestic from a group of more than 640 vehicles displayed at the Concours in the Hills event on Feb. 11 in Fountain Hills, Ariz.
The Concours showcases a diverse range of ultra-high performance, luxury, and classic vehicles from both imported and domestic manufactures. The vehicles range from multi-million dollar 200-mph cars, to muscle cars, sports cars and pre-war classics.
Leading car clubs represented included Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, McLaren, Jaguar, Lotus, Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo, Audi, Corvette, Viper, Cobra and others.
The fourth annual Concours in the Hills saw more than 10,000 spectators this year, and is organized by Peter Volny and the Scuderia Southwest Car Club, located in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Concours in the Hills benefits the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale, Ariz.
