Mt. Pleasant guard Brady Sartorius joined an exclusive club on Tuesday night, going over the 1,000-point mark in the Panthers’ win over Chariton.
The junior guard is the first Panther since 2011 graduates Scott Hahn and Henry Krieger-Coble.
He came into the game seven points shy of the mark and hit 1,000 in the first half of the ballgame. It is a rarity for a junior to reach 1,000 points, as the majority of players who hit the mark do so in their senior season.
Sartorius is currently a top five scorer in Class 3A, averaging 22.1 points per game this year. He leads the Southeast Conference in scoring with six games to go in Mt. Pleasant’s regular season.
