Stanley Robert Sloan
Stanley Robert Sloan, 46, of Knoxville, died on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, beginning at 1 p.m., at Cranston Family Funeral Home, in Eldon. Interment was held in the Bethlehem Cemetery, near Eldon, immediately following the service. Visitation was held on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, at Cranston Family Funeral Home, with the family present to greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m.

Sloan was born on Sept. 8, 1970, in Ottumwa, the son of Harold and Dora “Saner” Sloan. In October of 2004, he was united in marriage to Mari Kenna Thompson.
He spent over 30 years as a truck and semi driver, most recently with Goff Trucking.
He enjoyed spending time with his boys, attending monster truck rallies and demolition derbies, and spending time with friends and family.
Sloan was survived by his wife, of Knoxville; three sons, Ryun Thompson, Robert Sloan, and RJ Sloan, all of Knoxville; his foster mother, Debora White, of Hereford, Ariz.; a foster sister, LouAnn (David) Bruster, of Tombstone, Ariz.; and a foster brother, Robert (Amber) White, of Freeport, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Cheryl Sloan; and a foster father, Richard Kelley.
