Students to speak about living abroad
College students David Yoder, Jacob Yoder and Brian Miller will be speaking to JPOG (Just Peace Outreach Group) on June 9 to describe their observations after living for three months in Guatemala, Peru and The Netherlands.
With special attention to peace and justice issues, the speakers will describe the challenges they faced and the lessons they learned while living in a different culture and participating in the daily life of their hosts.
The program will take place at Washington Mennonite Church, 815 Polk Street, Washington.
There will be a finger foods potluck at 6 p.m. (bring your own table service. The presentation will begin at 7 p.m.
