Terry Lee Glattfelder
Terry Lee Glattfelder, 61, Argyle, died at Great River Medical Center, West Burlington, on Thursday, April 17, 2014.
Funeral services will be on Monday, April 21, at 2 p.m. at Prugh’s Chapel, Burlington. The Rev. Bill Willis will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Prugh’s Chapel. The family will receive friends on Monday afternoon one hour prior to the time of the service.
Burial will be in Edwards Cemetery at a later date. A memorial has been established for the education of his grandchildren. Condolences may be left at www.prughfuneralservice.com.
Born on Aug. 20, 1952, in Burlington, he was the son of Jack F. and Josephine Malcolm Glattfelder. He married Kathy Stagner on Aug. 28, 1974.
He served in the U.S. Army andhad one tour in South Vietnam. He was an operating engineer in the power plant operations at IAAP. He enjoyed outdoor activities which included boating, hunting and fishing, camping, horseback riding with the Lockridge Rough Riders, the Tri-State Gun Club, riding Vulcan and Harley-Davidson motorcycles, ATV four-wheeling, coaching Little League baseball, farming and tending to cattle and attending the Tri-State Rodeo in Ft. Madison. He also enjoyed watching Western movies, reading Western novels and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Jason Frank Glattfelder of Argyle; three daughters, Sabrina Lee (Gabe Durham) Glattfelder of Keokuk; Sondra Lee Glattfelder of Argyle, and Stephanie Jo (William) Rankin of Argyle; four grandchildren; and one brother, Randy Glattfelder of Glendale, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Lee Anne Glattfelder.
