Tigers take on DI Drake
The Iowa Wesleyan College men’s basketball team will travel to play Drake University in Des Moines tonight (Tuesday), one of three games on the Tigers’ schedule against an NCAA DI opponent.
Tonight’s match up is an exhibition game. The Tigers will see the University of Nebraska-Omaha and the University of South Dakota in regular season action.
Tip-off for tonight’s game is set for 7 p.m. in the Drake Knapp Center and will be televised by Mediacom on MC22.
“We have a very challenging non-conference schedule that includes two games at NCAA Division 1 opponents, in addition to our exhibition game at Drake University,” IWC Head Coach Todd Lorensen said. “It will be a great opportunity for our guys to play against that level of competition. The full conference schedule will be very challenging as well. It should make for an exciting year.”
The Tigers take on Nebraska-Omaha on Nov. 30. The Tigers will travel to Omaha for a 1:05 p.m. tip-off against the UNO Mavericks.
They will play USD on Jan. 4 in Vermillion, S.D.
IWC will open up conference play on Dec. 4, when they host fellow SLIAC member Westminster College. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
The Tigers host 11 home games this season, including their scrimmage against Simpson to start the year.
