Vehicle sustains minor damage in deer mishap
A vehicle/deer accident on Friday, Dec. 23, caused minor damage to a 2016 Ford SUV.
According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office accident report, Gloria Fear, rural Mt. Pleasant, was westbound in the 1600 grid of Oakland Mills Road when a deer ran out in front of her vehicle.
The vehicle’s front right quarter panel struck the deer causing minor damage to the Ford. Fear was not injured.
The sheriff’s office also reported that on Dec. 23, it received a report of a suspicious vehicle traveling south of New London at approximately 6:30 p.m. Dec. 22.
According to the report, the vehicle was described as a large dark color older passenger car. It was seen driving around the areas of 280th Street, Quincy and Quaker avenues.
The sheriff’s office reminds citizens to watch for suspicious activity and/or people and to report such activity in a timely manner.
