Virgil Lee Halm
Virgil Lee Halm, 72, of Donnellson, died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at the Donnellson Health Center, Donnellson.
Friends called after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson., where the family met with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. that evening.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, with the Rev. Jamey Stout officiating.
Burial was at the Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison.
A memorial has been established in his memory.

He was born July 2, 1940, in Ft. Madison, the son of George and Juanita (Meeks) Halm.
He was a member of the Bethel Bible Church in rural Donnellson. He was a lifelong farmer and a truck driver for Heartland Express. He loved being on the farm working on tractors and mowing.
Survivors include his one son, Rick Halm; three daughters, Cheryl (Kevin) Elmore of Mt. Pleasant, Leea (Joe) Brown of Mt. Pleasant, and Angela Washburne of Mt. Pleasant; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Wanda Sue Haley.
