Vitale, Hitt honored by conference
Two Iowa Wesleyan men’s soccer players earned all-conference honors from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) this season.
Newcomer Bo Vitale, a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, was named to the SLIAC honorable mention all-conference team.
Vitale led the Tigers’ offensive attack this season in his first year at IWC. He was second in the league in shot attempts with 64, and he had a team-high five goals and two assists on the year.
Tyler Hitt was named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team. Hitt recorded one goal and two assists this season for the Tigers.
IWC men’s soccer also received a conference honor as a team: the Tigers were awarded the SLIAC Sportsmanship Award.
The Tigers received the fewest penalties of conference teams this season, receiving just three yellow cards all year. They never got a red card.
