W-MU boys drop last regular season game

LONE TREE — The Winfield-Mt. Union basketball team ran into a red hot Lone Tree team on Tuesday night in their final game before the SEISC shootout this weekend. The Wolves couldn’t get anything going against the Lions in a 71-31 loss.
Lone Tree cruised through the first half, taking a 46-19 advantage to halftime and the Lions were able to stretch the lead by 13 more points before the game was over.
Bryce Robison led the Wolves with 11 points in the loss. Jordan Hudson scored seven points including two three-pointers. Cody McCreight had six. B.J. Rodgers scored four and Mitchell Niebuhr finished with three.
W-MU fell to 8-12 with the loss. They will host Central Lee in their SEISC Shootout contest on Friday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m.
