W-MU boys golf places second at Durant Tournament
The Winfield-Mt. Union boys’ golf team placed second of seven teams at the Durant Tournament Tuesday. They scored 348 as a team, just one stroke out of first place.
Klayton Booth shot an 81 at the 18-hole tournament to finish as runner-up medalist. Jake Edwards was third overall with a score of 83 and Zach Davis was sixth with an 87.
Thayne McElhinney also scored for the Wolves with a 97.
Sam Jennings carded a 102; Kolt Rossiter scored 103.
Wilton won the tournament, and host Durant took third (350). They were followed by Columbus Junction (362), West Branch (372), West Liberty (377) and North Cedar (384).
