Chapter Iowa J of National T.T.T. Society met Monday, April 7, at the Wayland community center at 7 p.m.
Sword of Gold was sung and President Lori Messer called the meeting to order.
Recording secretary Georgia Fort took roll with 19 members answering. Minutes of the March 3 meeting were approved.
Susan Mast reported that the National Honor Society tea had been changed to Tuesday, April 15. Those who had signed up to help and furnish cookies were reminded.
Joni Huisenga reported four campers have been contacted and things are progressing. She reported that Iowa J is responsible for chaperones for the bus trip to and from camp this year. The campers will be invited to attend the May meeting and a light supper will be furnished by J members
Camper supplies that are on hand will be sorted and motion carried for chapter to purchase those things still needed.
Erica Stauffer brought an application form for a Walmart Grant to be used for campers expenses.
Willa Wilson reported on fund raising activities. Huisenga reported on another fund raising possibility. All proceeds from fund raising events are used to furnish all needs for campers sponsored by Iowa J, including the expense incurred by the National Project Fund for expenses related to each girl for the camp costs.
Motions carried for gifts to National Project Fund and to the Endowment Fund at state convention in Waterloo.
The next meeting of Iowa J will be on Monday, May 5, at 6 p.m. with campers joining in for a light supper and a get-acquainted social time.
