Will MP residents get key cards, too?
To the editor:
Superintendent Wells and two board members have stated that if this bond issue passes and if declining enrollment continues in our district, Salem school will not close.
I understand that if our school district puts $3.7 million into a community gym and improvements to Salem school, which houses about 100 students K-6, it would not make sense to close it.
This begs the question, which elementary school would close? Would it be Harlan because that would be the only elementary school without a gym?
Also, Superintendent Wells stated that the people of Salem will get key cards to the gym there. Will people of Mt. Pleasant get key cards to the gyms in the school here? I currently pay for a membership to the REC Center.
