Yeoland O. Butler
Yeoland O. Butler, 94, Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, March 15, 2013, at Arbor Court in Mt. Pleasant.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, at the Kimzey Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. A private burial will take place on Wednesday at the Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.

She was born Sept. 2, 1918, in Mt. Pleasant. She was the daughter of Frank and Elsie (Carpenter) Wellington. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. She married Ernest Butler in Chicago. He proceeded in death.
She moved to Chicago shortly after her high school graduation. She worked for Western Union as a telegraph operator. With her husband, she owned and operated a couple of taverns in the Chicago area. Several years after her retirement, she moved to Michigan. She returned to Mt. Pleasant in 2000.
While living in Chicago, she attended a baptist church. During her working years at Western Union, she was a member of the Telegraph Operators Union.
Survivors include a nephew and a niece whom she and her husband raised, Richard (Carri) Wellington of White Pigeon, Mich. and Marla (William)Wellington Young of Mt. Pleasant.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; seven brothers, Syke Wellington, Jim Wellington, Everett “Buck” Wellington, Ralph Richard “Dick” Wellington, Darrell Wellington, Larry Wellington and Glenn Glover and two sisters, Doris Bittle and Lucille Williams.
