This week’s ‘Friend on the Front Page’ is Rich Mueller, whom many will know from Edward Jones.
Are you originally from Mt. Pleasant? If not, what brought you here? I’m from Lee County. I grew up on a farm just north of Pilot Grove. I started working at Pizza Hut (in Mt. Pleasant) in high school.
What’s your favorite part of living here? People and convenience of location. I like small town living.
Where’s your favorite hangout? Butch’s, Press Box and Deerwood Golf Course. I don’t play favorites.
What do you like to do in your free time? I like to play golf, but as I age reading that book is gaining some attention. But travel has to be No. 1.
What annual event in Mt. Pleasant do you enjoy? Rotary BBQ. I’ve been a Rotarian for 18 years.
What do you think is Mt. Pleasant’s trademark? Old Threshers.
What’s one dish or drink that reminds you of Mt. Pleasant? Pizza Hut Pizza, that’s the reason I started my relationship with Mt. Pleasant.
Tell us something interesting about yourself? I like auctions. It’s kind of why I do what I do professionally.
