This week’s ‘Friend on the Front Page’ is Marc Lindeen, whom you may know as one of the county’s supervisors.
Are you originally from Mt. Pleasant? If not, what brought you here? I’ve lived my entire life in Henry County and have been educated here. I’m a graduate of Iowa Wesleyan University.
What’s your favorite part of living here? The wide open spaces and being able to see the stars at night.
Where’s your favorite hangout? My farm near Swedesburg.
Is there an annual event in Mt. Pleasant/Henry County you enjoy? Midwest Old Threshers and Midwest Central Railroad. I like how people come together and work for the good of Old Threshers. And I like how Old Threshers helps to assist organizations.
Is there something Mt. Pleasant doesn’t have that you’d like to see? An upscale restaurant.
Tell us something interesting about yourself? I snow skied the olympic slopes in Austria, just much, much slower.
