James and Sarah Woerdeman of Ankeny celebrated the birth of their son, Layne Arthur Woerdeman on Jan. 24 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
He weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces and was 20 3/4 inches long at birth.
