Sep 01, 2017

Paul Burrow will be preaching Sunday, Sept. 3, at 10 a.m. in the family tent on the Old Threshers grounds.

Burrow graduated from Mt. Pleasant Community High School with the class of 1973. He graduated from Drake University in Des Moines with majors in Spanish and History. After teaching one year at the Adair-Casey Schools, he moved to Oskaloosa where he taught for the next 32 years, retiring in 2010.

Burrow began his preaching career in 1999, serving the congregation in Kirkville just south of Oskaloosa. After retiring from public school teaching, Burrow was appointed full-time to the Perry/Rippey/Fairview United Methodist churches where he still serves.

Burrow is married to Nancy, and they are celebrating their 38th wedding anniversary Sept. 1. They have two children, Rachel and Timothy, who live in the Des Moines metropolitan area.

Midwest Old Threshers ecumenical worship service is at 10 a.m. Sunday in the Family Tent just northwest of the Paul Anderson Welcome Center. The Old Threshers Choir will present an anthem, and there will be other special music as well. Everyone is welcome to worship together in the Family Tent.
