An overnight guest in Wyman

Dec 21, 2012

WYMAN — Thursday’s blizzard brought an unexpected overnight guest to the Carl and Denise Stogdill home in Wyman.

Daughter Tiffany Stogdill said the family was awakened around 1 a.m. this morning by barking dogs and a knock on the door.

“The dogs woke us up and we went to the door and this lady said her vehicle was stuck,” Tiffany said this morning.

The lady was a Winfield residents who worked at the Ainsworth Four-Corners Restaurant. “She was on her way home,” Tiffany said. “She tried to make it home because a guy in the restaurant told her she wouldn’t have a problem getting home.”

But her vehicle became stuck in a large drift in Wyman. The Stogdills made a bed for the guest on the couch and Carl hopped on the skid loader and brought her car to the residence.

The guest did make it home Friday morning…a few hours later than expected.
