Caroline Ruth Daugherty, 97, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at her home in rural Mt Pleasant.

There will be no visitation. Graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 20, at Green Glade Cemetery, Farmington, officiated by Sheila Smith.

Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice. Cards and memorials can be sent to Isabelle Willey, 1183 233rd Street, Mt Pleasant, 52641.

She was born Dec. 20, 1915, to Charles Thomas and Edna Bell Wilkins in Akron, Colo. She married Franklin Harrison Daugherty, April 27, 1935, in Memphis Mo. He preceded her in death.

She went to Troy High School. She worked for 26 years as an AID at Mental Health, Mt Pleasant. She enjoyed working in her garden, quilting, birds and flowers.

She is survived by her children, Isabelle Willey of Mt Pleasant and Donna Daugherty of Batavia; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Cora Mae Davis of Moulton, Mary Brooks of Harlan, and Gladys Shelton of Hot Springs, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son, Johnny Daugherty; four sisters; and one brother.
