FT. DODGE — Former New London softball ace Morgan Christner was honored in Ft. Dodge on Thursday during the state softball tournament.

Christner was named to the 100-win Hall of Fame during a ceremony at Buena Vista University Diamond. She was one of five former players honored.

Christner, a 2016 graduate, had a 116-25 career record with New London. She finished her career with a 1.12 ERA, which aided the Tigers to three state tournaments, all of which ended with a top-five finish.

Christner was also a major key offensively for the Tigers, hitting .428 over her career with 59 doubles, two triples and 14 home runs.

She was a four-time all-state pitcher for New London and a current member of the Illinois State Redbirds, where she is getting ready to begin her sophomore year.

Christner is one of just 344 pitchers in state history to achieve 100 career wins.
