Clodene V. Rose, 80, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012, at the Henry County Health Center.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 10:00 am from the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Earl Swigart officiating. Burial will be held in the Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Murphy Funeral Home where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Animal Rescue or to the Girls Softball Association in her memory.

Clodene was born on July 5, 1932, in Henry County, Iowa the daughter of Lloyd E. & Edith Martin Adams. She was united in marriage to R. Dean Rose on April 24, 1954 at the Willard Street Baptist Church in Ottumwa, he preceded her in death on April 7, 2011. She was a beautician at Mt. Pleasant Mental Health Center then she became a cook and server for the Mt. Pleasant Schools. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her animals and camping.

She is survived by her children: Brian (Carol) Rose of Mt. Pleasant, and Teresa (Garry) Koopmans of Gladstone, Illinois, five grandchildren: Adam Rose, Eric Rose, Darci Rose, Danny Koopmans and Kyle Koopmans, and one great grandson: Dean; her brother Charles Adams of Winfield.

Clodene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother Howard.
