County Supervisor

By Stephen Engberg | May 27, 2012

In the 15 years on the City Council of Mt. Pleasant we have actually lowered the city tax rate twice.  This while improving roads, new police station, new library and civic center, demolished over a dozen run down homes and promoted economic development.

I will make the following promises running for county supervisor:

1. I will vote to eliminate benefits for County Supervisors

2. I will not vote for a wage increase for County Supervisors while in office

3. If I can't lower the county tax rate in my first term I will not run for a second.

I would like to see all the current candidates promise the same.

It is great to hear from a candidate for County Supervisor. I hope others will use this medium to inform the voters and give us the opportunity to make intelligent choices, both now and in November.

Quick figuring would place Gary See's total payout as over half a million dollars in his time as County Supervisor.
