The items which include diapers, boxes of wipes, clothing, blankets and diaper bags will be ready for clients to purchase through Mommy and Daddy Money earned through the Earn While You Learn program.

Four vehicles filled with much needed items for clients of Cradle of Hope Pregnancy Resource Center in Mt. Pleasant were donated by the Lutheran Woman’s Missionary League of Iowa East District.

Over 200 packages of diapers, boxes of wipes, several boxes of clothing, blankets, diaper bags, gift cards and money were given, stocking Cradle’s baby room where families can spend Mommy Money or Daddy Money when they participate in Cradle’s programs.

“We are so grateful for such a gift and now we have the room stocked and ready for clients to come and utilize it,” said Peggy Knudsen, Director of Cradle of Hope. Knudsen said the resource center goes through over one-thousand diapers a year and a gift of this size helps tremendously.

The items will be purchased by clients through Cradle’s Earn While You Learn program. Clients take classes on anything from pregnancy, labor, newborn care, life skills and daddy classes and are able to earn points to spend in the baby room.

Cradle of Hope is funded by private donations, fundraisers and community grants.

For more information about the services they provide, call Cradle of Hope at 319-986-5336.
