The Wyman Community Club met for lunch at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, at the Ainsworth Four Corners.

Attending were Ruth Erwin, Margaret Patterson and Billie Jo Rose, of Crawfordsville; John Wittrig and Laura Wittrig, of Winfield; Wilma Vosburg, of Grinnell; Jane Kaczinski, of Washington; Robert Davis, of Wayland and his daughter and granddaughter, Mary Rickard and Zhanna, of Mt. Union.

Everyone wrote a note and sent a card to Frieda Finke, who was unable to be present because of a recent fall.

Due to the first Monday in January falling on New Year’s Day the club will not meet until Monday, February 5, 2018.

The White Cloud Club met Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 11:30 a.m. at the home of Jolene Colthurst in Washington, where she hosted a Christmas luncheon for the club.

Colthurst opened the meeting with a reading called “A Christmas Wish.”

Members answered roll call by sharing their Christmas plans.

The Secretary and Treasurer’s reports were given by Pat Miller, with old and new business discussed. They were approved as read.

Attending were Joyce Huff, Betty Lintz, Pat Miller, Pauline Richardson, Shannon Sells and the hostess.

Christmas gifts and cookies were exchanged. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food and had a wonderful time visiting.

There will be no meeting in January. The next meeting will be Tuesday, Febr. 5, 2018, with Richardson as hostess.

The Peoples Savings Bank at Crawfordsville is hosting a Retirement Party for Janet Whiting, who is retiring after 43 years. This will be held in the Fellowship Hall at the United Church of Crawfordsville on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Crawfordsville Lions will hold their annual Christmas Drawing at the Crawfordsville Fire Station on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 1 p.m. Preceding the drawing, the 4-H Club will have a Bake Sale starting at noon and Santa will arrive at 12:30 p.m.
