The meeting room of the Pizza Hut in Washington was the place for the May 21 meeting of the Wednesday study club where the 14 members present ate the noon buffet.
Meda Fulton and Cathy Williams were in charge of arrangements.
The speaker for the meeting was Sue Mitchell, who has been with the public health department in Washington County for 11 years. She works with people 65 years of age and older and her main purpose is to aid them, whenever possible, to be able to stay in their own homes. She described the various kinds of needs of her clients, the ways to meet those needs and the various governmental regulations required of her department.
During the business meeting that followed Mitchell’s presentation, book lists were handed in and some book briefs were shared.
The June meeting will be in the Stauffer room of the library with Carolyn Bollman presenting the program on "Exploring  Underground Railroad quilting."
