Cure sinusitis with balloons

Nov 21, 2012

WEST BURLINGTON — A free program about Balloon Sinuplasty will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 5 p.m. in the Blackhawk Room at Great River Center for Rehab and Clinics, 1401 W. Agency Road, West Burlington.

“Sinus Treatment ... With Balloons” is a free one-hour program presented by ENT physician physician Douglas Henrich, M.D. A light meal will be provided.

During balloon sinuplasty, a surgeon places a small, flexible balloon catheter through a nostril and into the blocked sinus passageway. The surgeon then inflates the balloon to gently restructure and open the sinus passageway, restoring normal sinus drainage and function. Surgeons often do not need to remove any tissue or bone. The result is faster recovery times and less post-procedure discomfort. Many patients return to normal activities within 24 hours and notice significant improvement.
