Damon Lee Timmerman, 50, Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the Henry County Health Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 15, at the Assembly of God Church, Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Walt Graffam officiating. A memorial has been established, and may be directed towards the family. Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements. On-line condolences may be directed to

Born Sept. 12, 1962, in Davenport, he was the son of Richard and Fonda (Flynn) Timmerman. He was a 1982 graduate of Davenport West High School On Feb. 14, 2003, he married Melodee R. Healy in Keokuk.

He moved to Mt. Pleasant 16 years ago where he was employed as a production worker at Lomont Manufacturing and, most recently, at Metromail. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Favorite hobbies included fishing and going sledding with his children. In his earlier years he enjoyed attending stock car races. He loved to grill.

He is survived by his wife; his parents of Davenport; a daughter, Holly Timmerman; a son, Cody Timmerman; a granddaughter, all of Mt. Pleasant; a brother, Rick Timmerman of California; and a sister, Rana Zuber of Davenport.
