Davis' long run not enough for Wolves

Jul 09, 2014

WINFIELD — Kyle Davis’ inside-the-park round tripper was not enough as Danville snared a 9-5 victory over the Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves Tuesday evening.

Davis’ homer came in the sixth inning and narrowed the gap to 6-5. However, the winning Bears tacked on three insurance runners in the top of the seventh.

Kolt Rossiter took the loss on the mound for the 7-15 Wolves who host Pekin of Packwood tonight (Wed.).

The victory upped the Bears’ season ante to 15-11.
