Doris Darlene Schilb, 76, Fairfield, died Oct. 29, 2013, at Jefferson County Health Center, Fairfield.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Jessica Rockhold Gaul officiating. Burial will be at Spencer Cemetery, northeast of Stockport.Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1, at Behner Funeral Home.

She was born Nov. 22, 1936, to Henry Warren and Waunita Maxine (Loving) Smith in Stockport. Jan. 1, 1958, she married Lester Roy Schilb. He preceded her in death.

She was raised and lived most of her life in Jefferson County. She was a homemaker and sold Amway and Tupperware. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, gardening, fishing and watching baseball and car racing. She belonged to the Northside Strippers, Golden Threads, Hawkeye Heritage Quilters’ Guild and Iowa Feed Sack Club.

She is survived by two sons; Steven D. (Julie) Smith of Agency, and Jeffrey L. (Kimberly) Schilb of Birmingham; three daughters; Glenda R. White of Fairfield, Linda K. Hammes of Carrizozo, N.M. and Roxie S. Brown of Auburndale, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Richard H. Smith, Roxie E. Smith and Roger D. Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and one brother, Raymond N Smith.
