Emma Elizabeth Ritchey, 15, New London, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, in a vehicle accident east of New London.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 17, in the New London High School Ronald Coberley Auditorium. The Rev. Sam Reighard will officiate. Visitation will begin after noon on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Elliott Chapel, New London with the family greeting friends from 3 to 7 p.m. A memorial has been established.

She was born June 17, 1998, in Burlington, and was the daughter of Brett Curtis and Bonnie Sue Rife Ritchey. She was a freshman at New London High School and had attended school in Mediapolis. She enjoyed skate boarding, making people smile, writing and reading poetry, drawing and reading.

She is survived by her mother, Bonnie Cooper of New London; father, Brett Ritchey of Mt. Pleasant; step-father, Matthew Prickett of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Tiffany Ritchey of New London and Natasha Ritchey of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers, Jaden Ritchey of Wayland and Triztan Prickett of New London; grandparents; great-grandparents; and her boyfriend, Marcus McKee.
