George Elwyn Haganman, 82, Keosauqua, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at the Good Samaritan Home in Keosauqua.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at the Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery in Winfield.

There will be no visitation. The Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello is providing the care and arrangements for George Haganman.

The son of Robert and Eva Lee Haganman, he was born on June 17, 1931 in Swedesburg.

He graduated from Birmingham High School and attended Parsons College and graduated from University of Colorado. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, being stationed in Newfoundland. He worked as an auto mechanic. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a writer.

He is survived by a brother, Roger (Janet) Haganman of Stockport.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Virgil; a sister, Doris Barker; and three infant siblings.
