A group of bakers met Saturday, Dec. 15 for the Hillsboro Library’s second annual cookie exchange.

Library Director Casey Leffel started the group off with a little word scamble game. As the game progressed and in the spirit of Christmas, players began giving each other hints to some of the more challenging scrambles.

Laughter soon followed as the hints became more like charades. Because we all know it wouldn’t be fair if you just give someone an answer. The group may have come up with a new game — “word scramble charades.”

If there was an award for most creative cookie shared, Casey’s mouse cookies would have taken the the prize. You will have to stop in and ask him how he made them.
