Members of the Hy-Vee food store assembled in Mt. Pleasant to celebrate Hy-Vee’s gift to Henrry County Health Center Foundation’s Close to Home Campaign.

Hy-Vee presented this $5,000 gift as part of the Close to Home Campaign for renovations and upgrade to Henry County Health Center.

The major focus of the Close to Home Campaign is to raise the necessary funds through philanthropic giving to support new construction and renovation of many of HCHC’s most frequently used services; to improve efficiencies, update technology and ensure future access to quality care.

The Board of Trustees of Pilot Grove Savings Bank also made a $10,000 commitment to HCHC Foundation’s Close to Home Campaign.

Renovations to the hospital include construction of a new surgery department which is anticipated to be opened early October. Additional changes will include an improved patient registration area, remodeled outpatient services area, a new laboratory with private lab draw stations, update to outpatient cardiopulmonary services, additional specialty clinic exam rooms for visiting specialists, a new Women’s Center and exterior canopy in Radiology, and a new Health Education Center for classes and training.

To date, $1,882,382 has been committed to the Close to Home Campaign. The organization hopes to meet its $2 million goal by Friday, September 13th. For more information about the campaign, please visit or call the HCHC Foundation office directly at 319-385-6541.
