Iowa Red Cross volunteer info sessions offered after overwhelming response

Sep 07, 2017

DES MOINES — The Red Cross in Iowa is overwhelmed by the generosity of Iowans who want to help with their relief effort in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. As a result of the interest from those wanting to know how they can get involved and help support the response effort, The Red Cross is hosting Community Information Sessions in each of its four chapters across the Iowa Region this week.

The sessions include information about the American Red Cross and their current disaster response, including the recovery effort in Texas. There will be opportunities for Iowans to become registered Red Cross volunteers.
