EUREKA, Ill. — The Iowa Wesleyan men continued to find success in conference play on Tuesday afternoon with another SLIAC win.

The Tigers won an exciting game at Eureka, pulling away with two late goals to top the Red Devils 6-4.

There was only one goal scored in the first half. Pablo Garcia netted a goal in the 17th minute, off an assist from Elicer Urena, and the Tigers led 1-0 at the half.

Eureka tied the game up in the 60th minute, but Maxwell Trautman put IW back on top with a goal in the 67th minute, and IW led 2-1.

The Red Devils didn’t go down easily. Eureka tied the game once more, scoring in the 71st minute to put the pressure on an IW team trying to stay towards the top of the SLIAC standings. With just 18:30 left in regulation, the game was tied 2-2.

IW buckled down and scored two more goals over the next seven minutes. Trautmann netted his second of the night off an assist from Dylan Lawrence in the 74th minute, and Lawrence scored one of his own on an assist by Jose Baldo Gomez in the 78th minute.

Edgar Vallejo faced just four shots on goal in the game, saving two shots. The Tigers outshot the Red Devils 40-9 in the win.

IW moved to 9-7-2 overall and 5-2-1 in conference play. They currently sit in fourth place with just one more game remaining.
