Keith Sebastian Fraise, 82, Donnellson, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Ft. Madison Community Hospital, Ft. Madison.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. on Monday, March 4, at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson. The family will meet with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a Rosary at 4 p.m. and a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church in West Point with Father Dennis Hoffman and Father David Wilkening as Celebrants. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in West Point.

A memorial has been established in his memory.

Born Nov. 13, 1930, in West Point, the son of Theodore and Viola (Grelk) Fraise. On July 28, 1954, he married Genevieve “Topsy” Schlicher in West Point.

He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Farmington and the Donnellson American Legion. He was a life long farmer and had worked for the Iowa Department of Transportation until he retired in 1992. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and was an Iowa Hawkeye fan. He enjoyed attending basic training reunions in his later years with his Korean era comrades and he loved going to auctions in his spare time.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Steve (Debbie) Fraise of Montrose; three daughters, Janet Clarkson of Nauvoo, Ill., Sandy (Mike) Smith of Marengo, and Sara (Gary) Sandburg of Ft. Madison; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Andrew Fraise of West Point, Eugene Fraise of Ft. Madison, and Marvin Fraise of West Burlington; and one sister, Shirley Martin of West Point.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Albert “Sonny” Fraise and one great-grandson.
