Lois M. Nicholson, 76, of Birmingham, died on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at Jefferson County Hospital, in Fairfield.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at Pedrick Funeral Home, in Keosauqua, with Rev. Lloyd and Rev. Floyd Osborn officiating. Visitation with family present will be from 12-1 p.m., prior to the service. Cremation will follow the service with burial of cremains at a later date in Miller Chapel Cemetery.

Gifts to a memorial to be designated later by the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at P.O. Box 223, Birmingham, Iowa 52535.

She was born on June 20, 1940, in Rural Wayne County, the daughter of Ernest and Mildred Rollins Osborn. She graduated from Allerton High School, in 1958 She married Bill Nicholson on Nov. 27, 1964, in Memphis, Mo.

She worked at Family Café, Fairfield Glove Factory and Turner Hotel all, in Fairfield.

She enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, and helping with the Birmingham Easter Egg Hunt.

She attended the Four Square Gospel, in Fairfield.

Nicholson is survived by her husband; a daughter, Jeanie (Gerald) Kisling, of Birmingham; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Kenny Van Aken; and Sharon Thomas, both of Ottumwa; four brothers, Duain Osborn, of Brighton; Floyd (Judy) Osborn, of Rock Falls, Ill.; Loyd (Irene) Osborn, of Ottumwa; and Delbert Osborn, of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a great-grandson; and a sister, Phyllis Snook.
