Lower Skunk River Watershed project holding free drainage water nutrient sampling

Mar 14, 2018

The Lower Skunk River Water Quality and Soil Health Initiative Project will be having nutrient sampling days in the counties of Henry, Jefferson, Lee, and Van Buren.

The nutrient sampling day in Henry County is March 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Henry County USDA/NRCS Office at 709 S. Iris St.

Bring one cup samples of water from a pond, stream or pattern tile outlet collected within the past 24 hours. The project will test the nitrate level of that sample for free using the Soil Scan 360.

This testing is voluntary and results are not recorded except for personal use.
