Lucile Sarah Jacoba, 98, Yarmouth, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at her daughter Mary Ann Walljasper’s home in Westwood.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at Peace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Cindy Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service and at a luncheon immediately following the service. Burial at Kossuth Cemetery, Mediapolis, will follow. A memorial has been established for the Peace Lutheran Church. Elliott Chapel, New London, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born May 11, 1914, in Argyle, to Albert and Anna Krieger Reif. On January 29, 1936, she married Dale Jacoba at the parsonage of the Salem Lutheran Church, West Burlington.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking, crossword puzzles and reading her Bible. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, West Burlington and a member of the quilting circle.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann (Wilmer) Walljasper of Westwood, one son, Larry (Daisy) Jacoba of Yarmouth; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Amos Reif and one sister, Edith Larson.
