Luella Ann Alliman Miller, 78, Wayland, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at the Parkview Home in Wayland.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m. at Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church with the Rev. Robert Spilger officiating. Burial will be at the Sugar Creek Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial has been established to the Parkview Home in Wayland in her memory

Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant is handling the arrangements.

She was born Sept. 27, 1935, north of Noble on the Alliman family farm, to Lester J. and Blanch Kennel Alliman. She grew up in Wayland. She worked at Sheller Globe in Iowa City until retirement. Luella followed NASCAR racing, enjoyed reading, watching western movies and listening to Elvis Presley.

She is survived by her children, Terry (Bonnie) Kaufman of Mt. Pleasant, Sherry Kaufman of Davenport, Ken (Diana) Kaufman of Wayland, Dennis Kaufman of Wayland and Lynne Reighard of Topeka; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy D. Miller; one son, Mike Kaufman; a grandson; and her brother, John Alliman.
