Marion E. Alliman, 93 of Wayland, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Great River Hospice House in Burlington.

Funeral Services have been set for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at the Wayland Mennonite Church with the Revs.Kelly Slagel and Tamara Gill officiating. Burial will follow at the North Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Wayland Mennonite Church with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Beatty Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials may be designated to the Parkview Home in Wayland or the Wayland Mennonite Church.

She was born Jan. 13, 1921, in Donaldson, Minn., and was the daughter of John and Myrtle (Wells) Krieger. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and married Willis Alliman on Oct. 12, 1941.

She was a homemaker and worked in the WACO schools cafeteria for 26 years. She was a member of the Wayland Mennonite Church and the Friendly Helpers Sunday School Class. She enjoyed volunteering at the Parkview Home and Crowded Closet.

Survivors include children, Patricia (Ron) Michel of Pandora, Ohio, Stephen (Marian) Alliman of Wayland, Joseph (Brenda) Alliman of Wayland, Susan (Stephen) Baumgartner of Convoy, Ohio, Kathy (Patrick) Johnson of Muscatine, Mark (Brenda) Alliman of McComb, Ohio and Andrea (James) Taylor of Washington; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a granddaughter; four brothers, Milton, Everett, Russell and Raymond; and one sister, Loretta McVey.
