MP boys’ golf wins triangular

The Mt. Pleasant boys’ golf team came up with a win over Washington and Ft. Madison on Thursday, scoring a team total of 160.

Washington finished with a total of 170 and Ft. Madison finished with a team score of 193.

Mt. Pleasant’s Kiley Miller was the medalist with a score of 36, four strokes ahead of the runner-up. Washington’s Dillon de Perrot shot a 40.

William Kinney and Quinn Daniel were next for the Panthers, each finishing the course in 41 strokes. Kyle Kauffman shot a 42 to wrap up the Panthers’ team score.

Jacob Smith had a 43 for Mt. Pleasant, and Jordon Phomsouvandara shot a 44.

Miles Wentzien had the low score for Ft. Madison with a 47.

Next up for Mt. Pleasant is a meet at Keokuk on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
