MP boys’ tennis swept by Keokuk

Apr 16, 2013

KEOKUK — “They’re a good team,” Mt. Pleasant Boys’ Tennis Coach Tyler Rodgers said of the Panthers’ opponent, Keokuk.

That about sums it up.

The Chiefs did not allow the Panthers to take one singles or doubles match in their Southeast Conference meet on Monday night, claiming a 9-0 victory over Mt. Pleasant and dealing the Panthers their second loss of the season. It was their first conference loss.

They are now 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the SEC.

Next up for Mt. Pleasant is a trip to Fairfield on Thursday, where they will take on the Trojans at 4:30 p.m.
