MP freshman girls get win over Redettes

The Mt. Pleasant freshman girls’ basketball team defeated Centerville in a home game on Tuesday, 42-36.

“It was such a team effort,” Coach Ted Mountz said. “The second and third quarters were the best in our season. After the game, the girls couldn’t stop talking about how much fun it was to play that game.”

The Panthers were led by Carolyn Lutovsky’s 19 points in their win over the visiting Redettes.

Megan Shumacher and Ally Davis joined Lutovsky in double figures with 10 points apiece.

Davis also had a team-high eight rebounds, five of them offensive.

Lutovsky grabbed six boards and Shumacher had five. Jade Kennedy pulled down four rebounds and Tabitha Liechty had three.
